Wildlife in the forests of Savonranta
The forests surrounding Savonranta are home to a rich variety of wildlife. Even Finland’s large carnivores — brown bears, wolves, lynx and wolverines — occur in this region, although encounters are rare. A bear was even spotted recently near a local resident’s home!
