Fishing permits in Finland
Fishing permits – what do you need?

For many other types of fishing, anglers aged 18–69 need to pay Finland’s national fisheries management fee. Additional permits may be required when fishing with several rods, nets or other fishing gear, and some waters have their own restrictions.
Fishing regulations can vary between different waters and may also change during the year. Before fishing, always check the current rules, protected areas and possible local restrictions.

Fishing in Kolovesi National Park

Kolovesi National Park offers a very different fishing experience: quiet waters, rocky shores and almost untouched Finnish nature. The park is also an important habitat for the endangered Saimaa ringed seal, so fishing and boating require extra care.
Fishing is permitted in parts of the park, but restrictions apply in certain areas and at certain times of the year. Some fishing methods may also require a permit. Motorboats with combustion engines are prohibited in most of the national park.
